Dr. Vijay Eswaran is the Executive Chairman of the QI Group of Companies and its Co-Founder. The QI group offices are sprinkled in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines, with multiple subsidiaries. Vijay Eswaran was born in Penang on October 7, 1960. Eswaran’s mother was a teacher, and his father was employed by the Malaysian Ministry of Labour. In 1984 Eswaran obtained a socio-economic degree from the London School of Economics.

According to QBuzz, Vijay Eswaran’s first employment is incongruous with his remarkable career. He worked in construction in Belgium, drove a cab in London, and picked grapes in France.

However, he struck gold with his introduction to the binary system of marking and continued his education obtaining a CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accounts) in London and an MBA from the Southern Illinois University in 1986. Eswaran’s success has achieved international notice as a motivational speaker. He has written six books. Two Minutes from The Abyss is his latest book which was published in 2016. Eswaran has given back to society with his philanthropy. He established the Raise Yourself to Help Mankind Foundation (RYTHM); the QI Group promotes Corporate Social Responsibility (CRS) and a foundation that pays tribute to his father, the Vijayaratnam Foundation (VF). Society has bestowed upon Eswaran the honor of being awarded the Malaysian Business Awards (MBA) “CEO of the Year 2013,” and the lifetime achievement award in Regional Philanthropy at the 3rd World Chinese Economic Forum.
